REBECCA SUSCHITZKY, LICSW
Welcome. I am a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in Newton, MA. I offer individual therapy as well as maternal mental health and infant-parent psychotherapy.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
I earned my bachelors degree in English Literature at the university of North Wales, UK. I attended Simmons School of Social Work in Boston, MA and earned my Masters in Social Work in 2004. I completed my training in a residential group home for boys with significant trauma histories and an outpatient mental health clinic where I treated adults with co-morbid mental health issues.
Since graduating I have worked on an inpatient adult psychiatric unit, and intensive home-based treatment and intensive reunification work with parents whose young children were in state care.
DEGREES, TRAININGS & LICENSE:
I am consistently engaged in post-graduate clinical training and continuing education so that I can keep deepening my practice of psychotherapy.
I have also completed specialized training in an Infant Mental Health Fellowship at the Infant-Parent Training Institute of Jewish Family & Children’s Service.
This included a course in infant observation as well as seminars, clinical work and supervision.
